Due to many students having trouble accessing this page and many more students easily accessing the new SC History Facebook page all of our Blog is now moved to the SC History Facebook page.  Please just log into your Facebook account and search in the top search bar for SC History.  You may then hit the like this page button and you will be allowed to participate.  This is only open for students and parents.  Anyone else that does not have permission from Coach Herring will be removed and blocked from the page.  Thanks for your assistance and respect in this matter.  Coach Herring

First let me say keep on posting and extra credit points will still be given on last weeks Blog when you let me know you Blogged.  However this coming week as we have our massive cumulative review that I know you all love I want to offer a fun question up.  I want you to check out the following website and tell me what you think. Question for the week of Jan 31st - Feb 4th.

The past two weeks you have learned about the US Reconstruction time period after the War Between the States.  Knowing what you know now explain what you would have done if you had been the US President or a US Congressman, and why would your way have made any real changes to the violence and poverty kept the South in such bad condition?

SPRING STUDY 2011

The Study will start this MONDAY due to Tuesday's Test!!!

If you want to take part just click the link below.
Monday 6:00-6:30 for Visual Learners
Monday 6:30-7:00 for Kinesthetic Learners
Monday 7:00-7:30 for Auditory Learners 
(45 minute review will follow for all others interested anyone may stick around for that if you want.) 
Each Study will offer FIVE new Tips for how you can make learning more enjoyable and effective for you.

Question for the week of Jan 24th-28th.

Radical Republicans used the 15th Amendment and the "Negro" vote to help Ulysses S. Grant become elected as the next US President after Andrew Johnson was impeached and removed from office.  


Read the following US Government primary resource and explain rather you think this was acceptable and should this type of persuasion (to try and convince someone of something you want them to do) be allowed today.  Questions are also allowed if you do not fully understand the question.
